Hi, I’m Megan. I am a registered dietitian with a special interest in diabetes.
I qualified with a BSc. Diet and PgDip. Diet at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Pietermaritzburg. After a year working at a rural hospital in northern KwaZulu Natal I went on to the UK where I worked across the country from top to bottom gaining valuable experience in the clinical, community and food service components of dietetics. I have had the pleasure of tending to various nutritional needs in adults, children and neonates but subsequently developed a passion for diabetes education.
I have worked as a specialist diabetes dietitian at the North Middlesex Hospital in London, the Walsall Manor Hospital in Birmingham and the University Hospital of Wales. At a national conference with the British Dietetic Association, I presented on the importance and the essential contribution that we dietitians make to the diabetes team.
Nutrition is a key element in health but especially in diabetes control.
I can help anyone to optimise their nutritional status. I can help you to optimise your diabetes control.
I look forward to meeting you.
