Dr Paula Diab is a Family Physician and Diabetologist with over a decade’s experience in the field of diabetes. She has recently completed a PhD which focused on the important role that communication has in diabetes management. She has an accredited Diabetes Centre of Excellence and has recently been awarded the prize for Best Clinical Practice in the CDE network. She regularly attends both national and international conferences and meetings in Diabetes to keep up to date with the latest developments in management. She has published a number of scientific articles in national and international literature on the subjects of diabetes, medical education and communication between doctors and their patients.

Education and communication are two aspects of her career for which she has a great passion. She enjoys presenting on various aspects of diabetes management to colleagues and has a very simple and easy approach to even complex management decisions. She also hosts community education presentations at The Atrium from time to time where she shares her knowledge and experience with the public. When consulting with patients, Paula takes time in individualising treatment, educating patients and their families and motivating lifestyle changes.
